Just when I thought we might not enter a courtroom in one of Picoult's books...
Oh well, the story was good with so many challenging topics that ordinary people deal with every day. Infertility, IVF, alcoholism, religion, same sex relationships and marraige. Great debatable topics with peoples opinions at varying degrees. Picoult portrays characters thoughtfully in each of these circumstances and gives a good picture of what its like to be on both ends of a disagreement.

After my extreme disappointment with Handle with Care, my list of disliked Jodi Picoult books was getting dangerously close to outweighing the ones I really enjoyed. Thankfully Sing You Home was able to tip the scales a little bit more in favor of the enjoyed books. Though this story does have the courtroom setting typical to Picoult's novels, it somehow manages to escape formulaic feeling her last few novels have taken on.
