Okay, I was so excited to read this particular Jodi Picoult novel, because I am studying to be a teacher and have worked with children on the autism spectrum. I have also known people my age with Asperger's syndrome that I have gone to school and camp with. A reviewer on this site mentioned how similar this book was to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and I am inclined to agree. I enjoyed the book, but wasn't a fan of the ending. In my mind it left it a little open-ended. However, I really enjoyed some of the characters in this book. The lead female was tougher than the lead characters in some of Jodi's other novels. I also love Oliver the lawyer. He had a great personality.

Finished this one last night, if 1/2 stars were an option, it would have earned 4.5. I thought I had figured out the ending as it turns out, I was right. I enjoyed this book and "hearing" Jacob's perspective on his world and life. Working with kids on Probation, it was easy to relate to how people would assume Jacob is guilty based on his actions as a result of his Asperger's. Another well written Jodi book!
