I love Jodi Picoult. She's hands down my favorite author....BUT I wasn't really in love with this book. I knew the ending right from the beginning, and there really were no twists or turns.

I am however looking forward to her next book and will so continue to read her books. This is only the second book of her's that I haven't fulling enjoyed....I have loved all the others, and I have read all of her books.

Like her other recent novels (Change of Heart, Handle With Care) House Rules left much to be desired. Despite the book's lack of intrigue or mystery, Jodi seems to be gaining momentum & may produce another page-turning hit sometime soon. ...more

Finished this one last night, if 1/2 stars were an option, it would have earned 4.5. I thought I had figured out the ending as it turns out, I was right. I enjoyed this book and "hearing" Jacob's perspective on his world and life. Working with kids on Probation, it was easy to relate to how people would assume Jacob is guilty based on his actions as a result of his Asperger's. Another well written Jodi book! ...more

This was a really good book... a bit more predictable than many of her other books but I really enjoyed it still...

Another great book by Picoult with a controversial issue, court room drama and emotional rollercoasters.

This is not my least favorite of Picoults books, but it is pretty close. I enjoyed it and it held my interest, but as for surprise ends for which she is famous,it just did not cut it. I did learn a lot about people with Aspergers.
