“Wouldn’t you love to get lost in a good book?”

What if the characters in our books were actors? What if they had lives beyond the ones written for them? What if closing a book was like ending a shift for them? On call actors! Must be quite tiring, huh? Still, what a fantastic premise!

I notice several bashing reviews on this book. It makes me wonder if they read the note from Jodi Picoult in the beginning? This is a book written by her and her teenage daughter after her daughter had the idea for it. Do you expect perfection from a teenage girl?! I really enjoyed this book for what it was and I also love it for the fact that Jodi and her daughter wrote this together over a two year time period. What an awesome bonding experience!

An interesting concept, but not the most compelling story. The characters were flat, one dimensional and bland. Overall, an unbelievable plot. Not sure if I will read the next book.
