Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult was not what I expected...
I expected that the book would be consuming, pulling me as each new piece was revealed. I expected the characters to be mostly likable and relatable. I even expected some twists to keep the story interesting. I did not in no way, no how expect the ending. It was breathtaking, chilling, poignant and undeniable.

Loved this story of Jenna and the search for her mother and elephant researcher Alice Metcalf. And of course the Jodi Picoult twist at the end! I learned so much about Elephants. I'd love to sit and watch them and see the things she talks about. Especially their protectiveness of their young.

I thought this book was fantastic. From the beautifully developed characters to the twisted ending. I love all the research Jodi Picoult does for her novels. Wonderful book!!
Loved this book! All the clues were there, but it was so skillfully written that the ending still took my by surprise.
