Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult was not what I expected...
I expected that the book would be consuming, pulling me as each new piece was revealed. I expected the characters to be mostly likable and relatable. I even expected some twists to keep the story interesting. I did not in no way, no how expect the ending. It was breathtaking, chilling, poignant and undeniable.

Jodi Picoult is my number-one favorite author, and I've read all her books, excluding the plays and comics. Of course, I eagerly anticipated this new novel, even though I wasn't as interested in the subject matter as I've been with a lot of her earlier works.

I've read all of Jodi Picoult's books, and I really enjoyed this one because of the characters. Each one was unique, well-developed, and likable.
I also found the elephant aspect of the book fascinating and want to read some more about them and their memories/grieving.

One of my favorite Jodi Picoult books. In typical Jodi fashion, this novel was well researched, thoughtfully written and had an ending I didn't see coming at all! Gave me chills right up until the last page.
