My guilty pleasure. Jodi Picoult is definitely my guilty pleasure. I love her books. They draw me in from the beginning. And keep me going right through to the end. I felt bad for the characters in this one. And the elephants. The poor poor elephants. Mostly misunderstood I think. And this had quite the interesting ending too. I swear she next to never disappoints me.

Jodi Picoult astounds me with her storytelling skills every time I read one of her books, and "Leaving Time" continued her streak with me of fabulous books that I've read. You can't go wrong with this book or any of her books.

If you haven't read a Jodi Picoult book before one of the things that makes her writing so lovely is the way she picks some real life topic and researches it to death so that you feel like you're simultaneously lost in a beautiful story and learning at the same time. I've read 20/21 of her novels (I haven't yet read her combined efforts or her graphic novel) and this is among my favorites.
