3.5. This story was just meh for me. Maybe it was too short. Maybe it was the fact that I honestly could not CARE LESS about any of the characters. Maybe it was just frustrating because I felt like the whole thing was just too much of a tease: there were ideas and things put forth that had the potential to be really great and fascinating but honestly those ideas were pretty much abandoned or just not tapped into well enough. This book felt like a draft it definitely needed more flesh.
This was definitely a 3.5 almost a 4 star book for me. I enjoyed the way the story was told. I enjoyed the worlds she created and the way the world worked. I actually was glad it was a very small book and didn't stretch on for hundreds of pages... at least for the story it was. I wanted a bit more substance. More time spent elsewhere and in-between. As far as a murder mystery goes it was a little sub par. I saw it coming a mile away and was a little bothered that the characters somehow didn't. W
