Brutal and violent yet on the other side, astoundingly beautiful. Better than any sci-fi-alien-invasion-love story novels. No dull moments, real page-turner, breathtakingly fast-paced. It's not only the characters who will keep you turning the pages but also your eagerness to know how will the story goes from here to there. I loved that every main characters has their own POVs but I wish there's more POV of the Silencer not just only one. All in all, the book was amazing. Looking forward to book ...more

It was an interesting concept, but the characters didn't really get developed. I feel that waves 1 through 4 should have been their own story,I felt it was crammed in with the 5th wave being a central plot point. I also feel the romance was forcedz It was I hate you.. one moment and Lets Kiss The next moment. It was also confusing when they switched to code names, I felt that they should have been identified earlier than the last portion of the book. ...more

I loved this book. Why? Because I'm a nerd. There, I admit it. It has everything a young adult book should have. Teen romance? Check. Alien Invasions? Check. Startling plot twists? Double check. I could not put this book down and pretty much ignored everything I needed to do until I was finished. I will be definitely be reading more from this author. ...more

Amazing. This will be the next big thing for sure and I'm happy about it. The female protagonist is a strong character who doesn't display any of the whiny tendencies some of the recent female characters in dystopian books have fallen prey to. Shared as a book club choiceand my students read ahead of the the reading goals set. Can not wait for the sequel. ...more

This was absolutely AMAZING!!! I've never read an alien book before, let alone one about an apocalypse. All the character s are lovable... and Hateable (bloody Vosch) and the plot keeps you wanting more. (full review later) :-) ...more
