Retellings are ten a penny these days so it must be a challenge to find a new way of looking at a classic tale; luckily Meyer has more than risen to that challenge. This is not your classic "repaint the villain" retelling (a la Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West - which I also loved!) but a completely new twist set in a dystopian world.
