A sort of retelling of Cinderella like you've never read. I couldn't stop listening to the audiobook until late into the night, and had to force myself to go to sleep and finish it in the morning.

Cinder is a spitfire, sassy and sarcastic and willing to fight back when the situation calls for it. Iko was a darling and Peony was a sweetheart. I have been meaning to read this book for years now. I finally got a chance and I really enjoyed the book!! I liked the setting, it was different and interesting and it really got my attention. I absouluty love fairytales so when I saw that the series was like different retellings of stories that we knew, I just had to give it a try. I did not expect those surprises, but I did enjoy them. I loved the slow build up between Cinder and Kai, usually other books just force you to like them together, ...more

I love retellings of classic fairy-tales and I think this is one of the most inventive that I have ever read. Cinder was amazing and I had a hard time putting it down, even though I wasn't surprised by the revelation of who Cinder is. I remember stopping at one point in excitement and asking my daughter (after explaining what was going on) did she agree with what I thought was happening. We were both right. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Love love love. Can't wait for the next book. Great cliff hanger. A little slow at first but not your typical Cinderella story. Love the sci fi feel to it. I love how the author is intertwining each of the fairytales into this great story!! Team cinder and kye! ...more
