I really enjoyed this version of Cinderella. However, if I had known it was the start of a series I wouldn't have read it in the first place. I am exhausted with everything being a series. If that is too much to ask artistically and commercially, at least have self-contained storylines, as many of the recent crop of books (including this one) cannot stand on their own.

I liked this book a lot. Cinder was a well-developed character, and it was a nice twist on a classic fairy tale.
