If you know or love a grumpy old man, you'll probably relate to and like this book. It reminded me in turns of my father - the definition of a grumpy old man set in his ways - and my husband - on his way there, and has claimed to be an old man since birth. This book takes you inside the head and heart of just such a man, and it's a sweet and lovely journey.

A light, fun, quirky, warm-hearted story sprinkled with sad, bittersweet moments. Overall, it was a fun read, and I chuckled several times out loud throughout. The love story is so beautiful, and his character is pretty consistent throughout, even though he grows and evolves along the way. I would recommend it.

An irrascible man. A persistent pregnant Iranian woman. A cat. Amazing how these three characters can be so compelling. I'm still wiping the tears from my cheeks as I say: Read this book!
