Rating a 3, though it's closer to a 3.5, TBH. "Claire Morgan" was really Patricia Highsmith, best known for "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and its related books, adapted most famously in 1960 AND 1999. Her very first novel, "Strangers on a Train," came out in 1950 before she was 28/29, and was adapted the next year by a little-known British director. (You probably haven't heard of him, it was some dude by the last name of Hitchcock, first name Allen or Albert or something, I don't remember.)

2016 Book challenge: a book with LGBT matter or characters.
Although I read this book to fulfill the LBGT Category- I really felt like this book is more about coming of age for Therese. She starts off as young, meek and lacking confidence. At the end she is aware of herself has much more confidence and is able to make her own choices for her future.
Slow start, but pick ups about half way through.

Didn't care for Therese, nor for Carol for that matter.
