Emotional. I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting informative, but definitely not emotional.
Hearing the story of Henrietta Lacks and her family had me in tears. Yes, I learned what happened with the Hela cells, but the human story (family, friendship, love, and loss) is what pulled me into the story.
For me, this was profound and Rebecca Skloot did such a wonderful job of showcasing this family, but most especially Henrietta and Deborah.
