Being the first graphic novel that I have read, it allowed me to have a fresh perspective on this literature. Not only was I interested because of the visual arts but more so because of the reality being told. Persepolis is a story of the author about her childhood experiences with her family and the devastations in her hometown during the Islamic revolution.
