I loved this book. I started out with no expectations, and frankly, a little worried in the first 50 pages. But then it grew on me. And in me. I cared about these characters, and the pain they were going through. There was so much depth of feeling - of love, yes, but also of guilt, of loyalty, of need - that at times it was almost too much for me to read.

Wanted to like it more. I enjoyed parts of it, but at times found myself rushing through. I think if the insight and personal connection expressed in last chapter occurred earlier in the book, the connection to the politics, for those unfamiliar with the Naxalite movement in India, would be more personal to the reader as well.
