I really did not care for this novel, which had an immature juvenile feel to the narrative. Although, I think this style might suit young readers, but not adults.
However I am enjoying Eldest. Like most authors style, skill and technique improve as the series progresses.
James Johnson
Words cannot describe how awful this book was. It read like the author was projecting himself into the main character and then making him the best at everything and doing all the coolest stuff; thinking that would be a good story.

The story kept me interested. I liked it. Might read the next one at some point.
