Shelves: read-2016, fiction, needs-trigger-warning, mental-health

This was a 3.5 that I rounded up as, in fairness, I couldn't put it down and read it in a day!

I can see why this book has been so successful, it is undeniably gripping. However, I think I spent more time distracted by how horrendous Rachel was than actually being "thrilled" by the crime itself - but perhaps that's part of what differentiates this book. She drove me crazy and I swung wildly between hating her and feeling incredibly sorry for her - but seriously, the level of obsession she had abo This was a 3.5 that I rounded up as, in fairness, I couldn't put it down and read it in a day!

All in all, I think it wasn't as explosive a thriller as other ones I've read over the last year or so, but I definitely did enjoy it. It was just a shame that it was entertainment that once again capitalises on violence against women.
