There have been two times I threw a book at a wall upon reading the last line - The first was for Gone Girl and the second was for this stinking pile of tripe. Good lord, was I reading a junked script for a Lifetime movie? The only good thing was that it was a quick read, mostly because there was nothing deep to linger on, no beautiful turn of phrase, no complexity of thought, not a shred of humor. Living like this, the way I’m living at the moment, is harder in the summer when there is so much daylight, so little cover of darkness, when everyone is out and about, being flagrantly, aggressively happy. I liked this thriller and it was great to read on a car use home from Michigan. I just thought it was a bit predictable. I also feel like all of the hype it was getting didn't help my opinion. Very much a page turner.
