Greg Gaines had me laughing harder than any male voice I've ever read. His frankness in his descriptions of people were refreshing and hilarious. And even though he was making a marked attempt to avoid the emotional aspects of this story... The reader is able to infer Gregs pain through the actions of people at school, his family, and especially, Earl.
