When I first started this book I really liked the story, as well as, the pace. Halfway through, however, I felt it dragged a little and found myself thinking "just get to it already". I'm not a gamer at all nor am I into the "geek" life that is mentioned throughout the novel so maybe if I was, I would have enjoyed the book a little more. Listening to the audiobook narrated by Wil Wheaton made it much more enjoyable (I tried reading a paper copy a few years ago and lost interest a few chapters in). I wouldn't say that I loved this more than the movie as they have a lot of differences and there are some parts that I like better in each. The world is definitely more rich in the book though and the plot flows a bit better. Wade is a bit more likable in the movie version; the book version I wanted to slap a few times but I guess that
