I enjoyed this one a lot more than its predecessor, it had sooo much moooore PACE! It was gripping, I wasn't disappointed by the outcome and I'll definitely stick with the series.

My main issues seem to be symptomatic of the whole series:
1. LONG BOOKS. What has Rowling got against your average 350-page-er? I felt the same with the first book where I got to the end and thought "I enjoyed this...but I could not tell you what we've been doing for the last 300 pages that meant we've only just reached

I started reading this on a Thursday afternoon: I finished by Friday dinner time. I simply could not put it down, except for absolutely essential activities. Not bogged down with the background information of the first book in the series, the pace seemed almost a dead run from the start. The main characters are fleshed out, and you can't help but wonder when the conflicts which seem inevitable between them, will occur. Jag gillar verkligen Robert Galbraith. Precis som JK Rowling har han ett rikt språk som gör att man tydligt ser miljöer och personer framför sig. Och plotten är klassisk engelsk deckare. M a o inte komplicerad läsning, men riktigt god underhållning! Bra semesterläsning!

Excellent sequel to the Cuckoo's Calling, the Silkworm is very compelling reading with a great story, wonderfully interesting characters and just a great detective story all round! I can't wait for the next one! ...more
