I re-read this book in anticipation of the upcoming movie of the same name. It was as good as I remember although I had not remembered much about it except that I had really liked it when I read it in the 80’s. This book is mostly about words and winter (of course) and the great city of New York and other philosophical and magical things (such as a flying horse and strange little evil beings.)
