This is a reread for me. I wanted to be prepared for reading First Frost, which is also about the Waverley Family, so I decided I needed to be refreshed and reacquainted with the characters.
So glad I took the time to do this. Rereading this reminded me of how much I love Sarah Addison Allen work. Sweet mix of southern charm and magical realism. I loved the way magic was represented, especially the apple tree. A good warm hearted novel for a quiet afternoon.
Wonderful characters with unique gifts!
Nice, enjoyable quick read.
