This novel by Henry James is a more psychologically oriented ghost story. Though it is not classic example of the traditional English ghost story genre, The Turn of The Screw does have its creepy moments and some scenes do play on the reader's nerves a bit.
The story is very well conceived, though I personally think it lacks character building, since I found it very hard to sympathize with any of the characters, due to their repetitiveness and lack of character depth.

Emma Thompson was the perfect narrator for this audiobook. I had hoped this book would be creepier than what it turned out to be, but it was a fairly benign haunted tale.

Not a fan of Henry James writing style but certainly like some of his ideas of psychological horror.
