It took me a while to finish this book. I had read a dozen other books before I could bring myself to finish this one. I enjoyed reading it but the minute I put it down, I was not motivated to read on and I quickly found a more interesting book. Recently, I had to drag the book with myself to about 6 flights, so that I would not have any other books around me and I could force myself to read this one. No matter where you come from or when you were born, mother and daughter relationships are often times full of complications. This story showcases that, and also brings to life how little most of us knows about our parents.
