What Members Thought

This is one of those books that, while reading it, I kick myself for having waited so long to get around to it. I must admit that part of why I loved this book so much is because I was raised in northwest Florida, and the landscape and culture is very similar to the setting of this book: south Alabama. But the timeframe was in the 1930s, so I find myself very relieved to have been born in the 1970s so that I didn't have to witness as much of the hate that was so rampant then. But, then, I guess
