Disappointing. I first read an excerpt of "The Graveyard Book" as one of the short stories in "M is for Magic", a collection of Gaiman's short stories (4 stars, see review). I am really learning to love Neil Gaiman. Although this book was written for the Young Adult set, I found it very intriguing and well written. Neil constantly amazes me with his creativity and imagination.
This book was set in a graveyard (obviously) but there is little darkness or sadness about it. It really is just a story about a boy who escapes the death that claimed his family and finds a new family that works together to prepare him for the world "out there".
