Really enjoyed this book.

I thought this was an excellent Indigenous read.

It really reminded me of the great book Call Me Indian: From the Trauma of Residential School to Becoming the Nhl's First Treaty Indigenous Player

Great book! Highly recommended.

A perfect, feel-good about the universe, feel good about the power of our ability to rise above obstacles and achieve our goals, feel absolutely, positively good about the resilience of true friendship book. If there is any book that made me feel all the feels it was this book. It was amazing it made me laugh it made me cry and Junior was one of the most unique protagonist I'd ever read about in my life. The story was heartbreaking and it was got wrenching but at the same time filled you up with so much hope that I don't think I've ever felt like this about a book it definitely deserved the national book award end six out of five stars. This is an excellent coming of age story. I read the 10th anniversary edition, which has a few bonuses, including the original draft of Chapter 1, an excerpt from the unpublished sequel, and others.
