Having read & enjoyed "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" I wondered how the author was going to approach this tale. I dove into the book with no real expectations & ended up being quite pleased with the story, zipping through in a matter of days which is quite the task for such a slow reader. Admittedly, I consider myself historically & geographically challenged in the knowledge department so there's probably much that went over my head. Shelves: fiction, noir, to-re-read, history, humor

A book has to be pretty good for me to want to re-read it. This book is good enough for me to want to re-read. It was better than his Jane Austen mashup, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

I'm not sure if I think it's a classic yet. But I think it I'm going to put this back into my read pile.
