This was a beautifully written story about “The Great Migration”, the time when Blacks in the United States moved from the South to the North. It is extremely well researched, and the author includes an extensive list of sources. Yet, by choosing to focus on three individuals who made the journey, Isabel Wilkerson has created a book that will both touch your heart and educate you at the same time. Quite an accomplishment!
