What Members Thought
I read an abridged version of this book in high school, but decided right after New Year’s that I would tackle the real thing. I will admit, I struggled at times following some of the intricate details. It didn’t help that I mostly listened to a poorly done audio version. None the less, I fell in love with the story by the end and came to appreciate all the beautiful depth of Hugo’s writing. I plan to do a re read of a different version, and a more in depth study, in the not too distant future!
Questo sarebbe un libro bellissimo se Hugo non fosse stato a volte cosi' pedante che veniva voglia di saltare le pagine, ma insomma se uno ha letto Tom Jones i Miserabili sono una passeggiata di salute. I personaggi sono indimenticabili, a parte Jean Valjant, Marius e Cosette (una cretina IMHO), quelli che mi sono rimasti più impressi sono sicuramente Fantine ed Eponime, due donne stroncate dalle avversità della vita, ma se Fantine ad un certo punto cede, Eponime è incredibile e alla fine del li
