I think I read this in October, 2009 but since I only have lists for 2010-2013 on this computer, I forget what I rated it at the time. I bought it for a quarter at a thrift store in the town of North East, MD, near the Sandy Cove Christian retreat. Travels With Charley (who was his poodle dog) was a great book. It seemed as if readers were right there with him for every moment of the journey.
3.5 stars. I'm not usually a Steinbeck fan, but I liked this one.
