Robert Lewis Taylor won the Pulitzer Prize for his novel The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters, which I went into mostly blind and was surprised by an interesting, funny, story about one boy who travels across the frontier with his father in a quest to strike it rich during the California Gold Rush.
