I've seen a couple of movies based on this book and loved them. I decided after reading The Secret Garden I needed to tackle this one and I'm glad I did. Wonderful book! I have to admit that I preferred the movies' endings better than this one, though. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I won't say why. It was easy to read and I highly recommend it to both young and old alike.

Burnett had a great idea, but I didn't care for her writing style.
For me, this book was carried by its characters and plot, and it was well done: I love the little girl he created and all of the nuances of the story, and just the story. Fantastic ideas.

5 Stars ⭐️ !!!
What a charming book. It really can help you feel better about the world.. just put yourself in Sarah’s mindset.
As we know much of our worry and sadness is how we look at things.
This book would make a wonderful family read along. It’s just the right length.
I may need to watch the movie now.

This was a wonderful book to read with my seven-year-old daughter. We were so captivated by little Sarah Crewe that we didn't want it to end.
