The beginning was great, but the middle was boring (to the point that I had to switch over to an audiobook) and the end was long winded and preachy and I didn’t care enough about the commentary because the middle just killed it for me.

I believe that Huxley’s idea of what the future could be like in the face of growing consumerism to be not too far from the truth. It’s been brilliantly written and is an interesting look into the consequences of synthesising eternal happiness and control over a civilisation.
This is what I would call a 'timeless' book. A really good read if you want to understand what goes in the minds of people who defy social norms or attempt to change them.
