This book could have easily been 100 pages shorter. But its Atwood's writing that would have kept me glued, had it been 100 pages longer ;) She is an amazing writer but the story itself is quite underwhelming. The book within the book was a masterpiece and lot more interesting than the main novel.

A book about a book wherein a strange little SciFi story is told by one lover to another, but the main story is one of abuse and treachery, and all the things that were hidden by the powerful in honor of public perceptions and exist now only as rumors and falsehoods.
