Victoria Evangelina Allen

Sad, disturbing, borderline scary. What would I do?... But we human can adjust to just about anything... and there will always be love and the quest for belonging, for a touch and for an identity. Great, thought-provoking book. I wish the ending was more revealing...

I went back to this read after watching the Hulu series starring Elizabeth Moss to see how the film was updated. (And I wonder if Atwood has an updated version out.) It is difficult to take in the brutality of the situation in the book, told in stark style. It left me a little panicky and then depressed, so I stopped.
