This book holds up well a second time although there's a 30-year time difference between reading and listening. Clare Danes' voice was perfect for the story. I alternated between listening and reading.

This book went on forever and then it just...ended. Ugh.
What bothered me more than anything was a complete failure to establish time frame within this. It was completely impossible to discern the main characters approximate age and/or time duration since the revolution thing because of conflicting and contradictory information. I didn't see this particular theme coming in this book, but once I caught onto the Brave New World/1984-ish ideas, I loved it even more.
Excellent, vivid writing. This book makes me weep for society.
