I get it now. I really do. After finishing my fourth read of this book, I think I finally get the fuss. I could t put this book down. The split action between the capricious gods and the forsaken mortals was an astounding thing to reflect on. Fate is heavy in this book, but not necessarily in the future-is-written-as-it-is way, but more in the humans-have-no-control way.
