The point is made and beat into the ground, again and again, and again and again, and again, and again until the horse is far past dead and the repetition becomes near suffocating. This wouldn't be so bad if Lawrence: a.) Approached any of the issues with even the slightest bit of subtlety instead of beating the reader over the head with it and b.) could decide what exactly he wanted this story to be and worked it out to something complete or at least something like a story with a coherent point ...more
