Listened to the audiobook. It was very calming amongst the chaos going on in the world. Really appreciated it during my drives to/from the hospital as it took my mind of things, but it didn't stand out as a masterpiece. I'm glad to have experienced it though.

Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea is now one of my favorites. I was hesitant to read it first because I was doubtful that someone can make fishing interesting. I was pleasantly surprised, however.
The language he uses seems softer and more detailed than his other works. The old man isn't just a stereotypical man who needs to prove he is stronger than nature.
