What fun! An old-fashioned rollicking romance, with dashing young cavaliers and twisted misunderstandings between lovers, set against the horrors of the French Reign of Terror. I did enjoy this story very much and I would have give 4 star easily for entertainment. But writing wasn't great, characters doesn't feel real, add anti-Semitism, classism, sexism, nationalism (the negative one) and subjective look on Great French Revolution (more misleading than subjective, actually).
