It's an interesting read though many scientific phenomenon assumed in this book have long ago become outdated. It is certainly one of its kind type of book.
The situations seemed contrived at some points but being one of the first books of such adventurous exploration, it is much ahead of its time.

Not what I was expecting having grown up with the cheesy Josh Hutcherson/Brenden Fraser movie and general mythos of this adventure story… vibes are more bumbling, ignorant, notoriety-seeking wannabes trip into the center of the earth despite all odds and don’t even explore the most interesting part, but maybe that’s all curiosity and survival ever has been.
