Spettacolare feuilletton con una marea di personaggi tra cui a volte è complicato districarsi, se uno sopravvive poi ai capitoli della prigione di Edmond è destinato a non staccarsi più nonostante il moraleggiante Dumas padre faccia quasi l'impossibile per annoiare il lettore.
