What Members Thought

Loved it. I want to know myself as well at Betty Smith knows her characters. She puts so much life into each of them you really feel as though they are real and you know them. The picture she paints of Brooklyn in the early 20th Century is captivating. I felt as if I was walking those streets as a 10 year old girl visiting the coffee and tea shop, butcher and laundry man.
