When I was in second grade, my older cousins gave me their copy of The Phantom Tollbooth to read in the car on the way from Milwaukee back to Arizona. I still remember that they highly recommended the book. I don't remember what I thought of it.

This time around, it was clever and fun. The original illustrations are wonderful and the story is still current.
