I am one of the oddballs in the world who has never seen the movie. So, although I had heard of a few scenes (like the horse head in the bed) the world of Don Corleone was new to me. And what a world it was! One of the terms that many readers of fantasy use is world-building, and most of the books I read have a more micro view of the story and there is little world to build. just a few pages in, but I love it already. I have never seen the movie - I am probably one of 5 people in the USA who haven't seen the movie. Hope the book lives up to these first few pages.
