I loved this book. Witty, sexy and exasperating all rolled into one. Beautiful Bastard, the first book of the Beautiful Bastard series, has been on my tbr list for way too long. After reading it, I'm ever sorrier it took me so long to get to it. Each chapter is the hero or heroine's point of view. I know a lot of readers either like this or hate it. I can honestly say it really adds to the entertainment value of this book.

I loved this book. Witty, sexy and exasperating all rolled into one. Beautiful Bastard, the first book of the Beautiful Bastard series, has been on my tbr list for way too long. After reading it, I'm ever sorrier it took me so long to get to it. Each chapter is the hero or heroine's point of view. I know a lot of readers either like this or hate it. I can honestly say it really adds to the entertainment value of this book.

To say Bennett Ryan is a hard man to work for is putting it mildly. I admit there were many times I found myself wondering how anyone could like this man no matter how sexy he is. Then we would get to his point of view and I would find myself laughing out loud. He's intense and driven, but has this snarky wit that sneaks right up on you. And oh my word, I can not say enough about the sparks that fly when he and Chloe could no longer fight their attraction. He's all kinds of sexy, alpha male that knows what he wants and more importantly knows exactly what Chloe needs.

Chloe Mills has worked her butt off not only for her degree, but to earn a good reputation in her field of advertising. She's done all of this while furthering her education to get her MBA and working for the impossible Mr. Ryan aptly nicknamed the Beautiful Bastard. The more he insults and demands the more she rises to the top. He may be the worst boss ever, but she is the perfect fit for him as an assistant. She knows how to handle him and his demands. At least she always thought she did until the rules changed. It took one touch and her world shifted on it's axis. No one had ever brought out that kind of passion in her with so little effort. She knows this heat can lead to nothing but trouble for her, but she can't seem to keep her distance and Lord knows when they are in close proximity to one another neither of them exercise control.

Chloe annoyed me at times with her back and forth waffling. I get it that she desired Bennett meanwhile feared for her professional reputation and I certainly admired her strength. I just felt so sorry for Bennett when he would go way outside of his comfort zone and lay his heart bare and she would freak out. That being said I certainly didn't dislike her as a character nor at any time not get what she may be feeling.

I will definitely be reading on in this series. As long as the future books show this depth of witty storytelling I am convinced I will love them!
